From the 12th to the 16th of April, Laval will be home to Laval Virtual, the annual festival dedicated to virtual/augmented reality and the metaverse. This year will see the 25th edition, and 10,000 visitors are expected to attend this benchmark event.

Laval has been at the forefront of virtual reality for a quarter of a century now. 25 years following its creation, the Laval Virtual trade show has become one of the major events in Europe for the sector’s professionals.

The 5,400 sqm fair will host over 200 exhibitors: leading multinationals such as Meta, Microsoft and Samsung, players specialised in VR/AR (Lynx, Immersion, TechViz, Sense Glove…), and academics from institutions all over the world (the College of Image Arts and Sciences and the Gifu University from Japan, the Deakin University from Australia, the IDC School of Design from India, etc.).

High-level conferences, discovery of new tech and innovation contests

The event will offer a programme of talks for professionals on themes such as the future of XR, Metaverse Dilemmas or XR for Good. The 10,000 visitors will have the possibility to discover new immersive technologies. As well as this, our economic development agency, Solutions&co, will bring industrial companies there in order to help them find inspiration for their businesses.

The Laval Virtual is also a showcase for innovative projects and four “ReVolution” competitions will be carried out (Research, StartUps, Experiences and Students). This year, more than 200 applications were received!
