The German group Wilo has two sites in the area of Laval, Atlantic France. Many  people are being recruited to support the new activity of the pump specialist: the industrial production of embedded systems.

Wilo presents itself as one of the world’s leading premium providers of pumps and pump systems for the building service, water management and industrial sectors.

The group created in 1872 has its headquarters in Dortmund, Germany. It employs 1,300 people in France and around 8,000 worldwide in over 50 countries (Europe, Russia, the USA, China, India, Turkey, etc.). In 2020, net sales reached €1.45 billion.

The energy-efficient and smart solutions developed by Wilo are used for different sectors (residential, commercial, public) and many applications: water management, heating, air-conditioning and cooling, but also drainage and sewage.

Launching the industrial production of embedded systems in Mayenne

The sites of the Wilo group in Laval and Louverné (Mayenne, Atlantic France) were employing around 650 people last September. More than 20 positions have been opened during the end of this year and 30+ are to come in 2022.

The German group is making this recruitment to start producing embedded systems for water supply applications. “These are overpressure systems, that is to say a set of pumps that allow the flow and pressure of the water to be modulated“, explained Marc Guiho, site manager at Wilo Laval, in the local newspaper Ouest France.

The production site in Laval is labelled “Showcase for the Industry of the Future”. This smart factory has different assets to improve its carbon footprint such as a heat recovery system and an energy-independent recycling center.

In 2021, Wilo France was selected among the 500 best employers in France according to Capital magazine, ranking 8th in the “Industrial machinery and equipment” category.
